Safe Places to Discuss the Elusive 11-chapter The Running Grave Preview? List them here. Spoilers for Chapters 1-11.

The Running Grave preview releases have been odd, to be sure. First, on August 9th, almost two months before publication, an Amazon preview of six chapters showed up, only to be revoked a couple of days later.  Then, on September 7th. a 11- chapter preview appeared, and again, vanished quickly. While there are certainly screen-shot copies floating around on fan groups, many people in many parts of the world did not get a chance to read it, and so a lot of social media sites and podcasts are keeping quiet about the contents, for now, in deference to those readers. Indeed, many of the Serious Strikers I know are staying off social media right now, not wanting to see spoilers for parts they haven't read or,, worse, have their experience ruined by internet Anomies determined to spoil others' fun.

Spoilers ahead.

No one should make the mistake of thinking that the studious avoidance of spoilers means Serious Strikers are unaware or uninterested in the preview. Judging from the 6-8 fold increase in my own blog traffic, many people who read the preview are eager to discuss it.

I have, so far, written six posts on the 11-chapter preview, all clearly marked with spoiler warnings. Five of them are my top five posts of all time, in terms of readership, and all six are in the top eight.

I wanted to alert people to a couple of other thoughtful and respectful blog posts on the elusive 11-chapter preview. First, is Elizabeth Baird-Hardy's first look at the extended preview, where she makes an interesting speculation on Robin's new hair color.   Second is Lana Whited's piece on The Father, the play that Robin and Murphy see. Both are well worth the read. Both Elizabeth and Lana are college English professors who have written and published extensively on Harry Potter

If anyone knows of any other websites currently discussing the preview, please leave in the comments or email me in the link in the right column. I'm happy to add them to the list

For the fortnight more we have to wait, I'm going to be reading the cult psychology books recommended by our new favorite Rokeby-spawn, Prudence!  More on that in the days to come.

Update:  Twitter user LB reports there is a lot of Reddit discussion on Strike, but that, thanks to a loophole in the Libby preview that allowed some readers to get access to parts of the book beyond Chapter 11, there are spoilers there for entire book.  I am going to avoid that for now
